In recent years, the sports and leisure culture are getting popular. When we exercise or walk outdoors, the effect of metabolism tend to lead to the phenomenon of high-volume perspiration. In this case, we can wear cloths with tiny grooves on the fiber surfaces. UV Protection
The principle of the anti-UV cloths is to depend on the composition of the raw material yarn to shield UV from contacting the skin. The raw materials that can screen UV are only polyester fibers and polyamide fibers that possess an excellent external shielding ratio to the harmful radiation. They can not only effectively block UV and prevent the skin from sunburn and suntan due to long time exposure to sun light, but also avoid skin allergy and melanin precipitation. Thus, they are the best protective fabric during the outdoor sports and leisure.

The anti-UV textiles and anti-UV fabrics can be realized by two ways of the base-yarn type or adding additives in the dyeing and finishing process. For the base-yarn type, before the fiber spinning in the cotton mill, the raw materials with the ability of absorption or diffusing are mixed fully with the polymer before spinning. The base-yarn type of cloth from the fiber made in this way can block UV more ideally. Nevertheless, the latter is realized through adding the anti-UV additives during dyeing and finishing, where the number of washing of the clothes prepared therefrom are limited and the effect will also decrease over time.
Water – Repellent
The surface tension of the cloth is processed to be lower than that of water. Thus, the water cannot permeate when it contacts the cloth surface. Water repellent processing is to coat a layer on the cloth surface and thus allow the water drops onto the cloth to slip down along the surface cloth rather than permeate into the cloth. Water repellent processing is applicable in various outdoor products and in various end products.

Heat – Retention
According to the principle of the natural physics, the characteristics of the hollow feathers of birds are imitated, where the warm-keeping hollow fibers can lock the warm air in the hollow pipes and realize the effect of continuous spontaneous heating .

When we are exercising, the inside body produces the warm air due to movement. The characteristics of the hollow fibers can lock the warm air in the inner layer of the cloth and circulate continuously and thus the principle that the movement can produce thermal energy is utilized to allow the clothes to produce heat continuously.

The human need to maintain a steady body temperature and adapt to the changes brought by the extreme climate. And the cloth provides the direct protection on the temperature difference of weather for the human. Especially in the winter, we are desperate for the clothes to have a "warm-keeping" function to maintain the body temperature and protecting the body.
Cool Feeling
When the yarn is drawn, the mineral (jade) powders with the cooling effect are added that can both conduct and dissipate the heat quickly. Anti – Bacterial
Natural antibacterial agents are mixed into the polymer before spinning to embed them into the fiber, thus providing the antibacterial fiber textile with the function of inhibiting bacterial reproduction and growth. The antibacterial textiles can prevent noxious bacteria from spreading on the textile and thus effectively reduce bacterial infections and the related pathological changes that possibly impose an adverse influence on human health. Thus, the antibacterial treatment is widely applied in the textile industry. The products include the underwear and sports wear, etc.
Odor Resistant
The deodorant cloths by Gwo-Jyh Warp Knitting are enriched with an antibacterial agent with the affect of preventing unpleasant odors from being generated by breeding bacteria, thus achieving the effect of deodorization. The deodorization processing methods are usually divided into two types of stock solution spinning and after-treatment processing. Stock solution spinning is a method to add the additives into the fiber in the stock solution; the after-treatment processing is to set the antibacterial agent by heating on the fibers and thus realize the purpose of anti-microbial and deodorization.
